What skidplates/rocksliders/diff guards do you guys feel are the most important. Which should come first, and are any of them not worth the expense? I am surpised at the cost of these things, but if they are going to save some underbody damge, then I will spring for them. So far most of my off-roading is in sand and mud, and I worry a lot about buried rocks/stumps.
Just wondering what you guys think.

No steering/sump guard? That would seem to be a vulnerable area.

Your sump is pretty well protected by the axle and panhard rod and front bumper.
The reinforced steering links will never break/bend so no need for the front steering sump gaurd. They just get in the way kinda like the tranny gaurd.

wouldn't it be nice if someone would make a full one piece underbody protection molded in such a way so that it would fit around all the things down there? when it came time to service the truck, you could release some heavy duty clamps so it wouldn't be a pain to get the thing back on.
you can sell it for like $2,000 and it would still be cheaper than piecing together all the underbody protection.
oh well, just a thought

1: Steering and axle guards (biased to Southdown)
2: sill guards (pay for themselves quickly)
3: rear diff guard (distant third)
4: Taller tires to keep everything further away from the ground
