Size: 265/75/16
Uses: Highway, Snow, Lots of Rain
I am putting my MTR's on my NATO rims and am searching for the best tire for all other times I drive my truck. Has to have great snow and wet traction. I have bee eyeing the michelin LTX A/t's and the dunlop radial rover R/T's. I prefer a load range E sidewall, the disco is getting preatty heavy, and I like throwing it into corners! Anyways, ski season is rapidly approaching so I'll take all the help I can get!

RTs
90% of 265 75 is load range D not E (does not matter much though).

I have the radial rover M/T's and like them so far. So far meaning I haven't been in snow w/ them yet so we'll see. But for everything else they've been good to me.

i'd do the new yokohama geolander at+II's or the bridgestone at's - they are supposed to be the highest rated at's - you might even find them better all round than the mtrs....

Haven't had my Dunlop R/Ts in the snow yet, but I can say that I think that the R/T is a great all-around tire....
But, since you're going for splitting duties with your tires, you already have MTRs and are looking for a snow/rain tire, I would pick something more like the Cross-Terrain, or some other AT.
The Dunlop R/T is a compromise tire... albeit a great compromise tire IMO... But your MTR has the mud-side of its personality covered, so pick a tire to better cover the street personality.
IMHO, YMMV.....

Are you saying the MTR's don't do it for you in the snow/rain. I found them to be the best all around tire for me because I try to avoid mud. The MTRs are crappy in mud but seem to work very, very well elsewhere including on the road.

Milan has a good point. Josh, I thought you said the MTRs work well on road and in the snow, but did clog in the Tillamook mud. Why not get a more aggressive tire for the NATO rims, maybe an Interco brand if you can handle the looks.

The MTR's are a great all around tire! They handle like shit in the rain and in the snow, they simply make very little road noise for a mud tire. I nee a tire with a lot of siping. Over the past days I have grown to love the pireli scorpian a/t and the michelin LTX M/S. I like the rain grooves in the michelin a lot, any one have these, I think they are standard equipment on a lot of rigs.

I had the LTX M/S on the burban.
The BFG Long trail T/A seemed to be better and cheaper too on the burban. Better directional stability in snow/rain although tough to compare.

Well, the GY MTR is a traction tire nod a mud tire, that's why they don't do well in mud. I think they handle exceptionally well in the snow and rain. I feel it has tons of traction but I have not been on AT type trad for some while. I'm pretty sure they are better than the stock Michelins, though. If you want more of a road/AT tire, then the BFG AT/KO with 3-ply sidewalls should serve you well for snow and rain and even off-roading. THe other suggestions are also good. I like the Dunlop Rover RT's for example. I have no experience with the others, so I can't say.
