I know fog light should be mount close to the ground. But I got the PIAA fog light (520 series) from a friend and mounted it on the brush bar. The lamp is one of those large ones (see picture) and suppose to mount on the brush bar according to PIAA. So should I point it to the ground(at what angle?)?

Just wondering why they make a fog light that is designed to mount on the brush bar?

well they should be mounted to the brushgard since that is the lowest point you will have where they are protected enough. i don't think they should be pointed 'down'. this is something you will just have to play with a little til you get them the way you want them. the light pattern is much wider and shorter than a driving light in this style. they aren't going to be shinning out 800 ft or anything, but rather a closer range. what is the wattage?? guessing they are 55 watt. i am not familiar with this light, so someone else i am sure is way more qualified. i am use to the hella 550 fogs. and they were mounted under a bumper on a car. they had a working distance of a 100 ft or so.

This light uses the 12V-H3 85 watt bulb with an angle of 95 degree.

I don't know the working distance.
