Trip to dealer talked about needing new Rotors and brake pads at 35,000 as the rotors are not very thick from the factory? This seems crazy to me. What are your thoughts on this?
thanks,
Carl

It is true at least on the D1. The replacement rotors are thicker than the original rotors. mine wouldn't pass safety inspection. Don't buy from the dealer. Order the parts from nathan or some other rover parts place and have a trusted mechanic do the job for you. You will save about half of what the dealer charges.

last time i needed brake pads was at about 20k. dealer hinted me..."oh you need new pads... so do what you gotta do." meaning just do it yourself.
