So I don't break something how is the coin tray removed from a 96Disco. Do I need to remove the grill to get to it. Or can I just pull it out, I pulled on it and it would not budge.
I'm going to put in a RR 6 switch panel for my lights.
Thank You

Michael B

There should be a little flange or "tongue" on the leading (inside) edge on the back side of the tray. Open it up, push down on the flange and pull it on out. Easy, I think.

I think the six switch panel from the 95 Classic RR fits where the coin tray or clock are situated, not the ashtray. I do know that the 98 Disco had a three switch panel that will fit where the ashtray is fitted, and you can retrofit a three switch panel in where the original two switch panel now resides. Also, if you do not have seat heaters, there are two more open slots under the switch panel for the windows.

Thanks Guys
tmsltd Yes the six switch panel from the 95RR classic does fit in the coin tray slot. I saw Chris Von C had that set up and it looks very nice. I got all the switches and panel from Rover Connection $5 for the panel and $9 for each switch. The only problem with those switches they want a harness to plug in, I went to a local electronic's store(not Radio Shack)they did not have what I needed. The pins and spacing between them is tight a write up on it calls for a female connector of .110 I could only find .125 connector. Here is the link for the set up and other options http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/4628/
