I've seen a number of rigs with that red and white striped reflective tape on the back door or bumper. The truck on the front main page has it and I also saw an XD with it all over the back bumper yesterday driving in town. What's the reason behind that?

red and white reflective tape on the rear of vehicles is very common in israel. not sure if it is law or just CAP (common accepted pratice).

as far as over here in the states - i thinks its a SSS (safety styling statement)

It's used to see the Disco in front of you during the night runs after drinking the various trail brews....
