Has anyone had the undercarriage and bolts on their disco II start rusting? My disco II has 20,000 miles on it and the undercarriage is starting to rust. Does ayone have any suggestions on coating the undercarriage to stop the rust. Also, is the undercarriage covered under the corrosion warranty?
Thanks
David

Waxoyl - yearly preferably, but less frequent OK too.
There'd have to be some serious rust to have a warranty claim (ie: through the frame) - if it is just surface rust, we'll that's what happens
Are you near salt water by any chance, or in an area that uses lots of road salt? - if so, make sure to frequently pressure wash the undercarriage and Waxoyl more often
BTW - Waxoyl is a "traditional" product, but there are others out there that work well too (check the Eastwoods catalog)

I used Westleys rubberized undercoating. Works like a charm! Mud, etc... cant get through this stuff. Just like undercoating from the factory, and blacks everything out. Got mine from Pep boys $3 a can
