I would like to know who make the best top quality Bull Bar available on the market? Price is not a problem!!!
I currently run SafariGard on my D110 and D90.
You can see my vehicle at ECR's website www.eastcoastrovers.com It's the 5 door 110 converted into a 4 door 300 Tdi dormobile expedition beast!
I like the TJM Bar. But would like everyone elses opinion on what bar to go with on my
Disco II!

I have a RoverTym blade on my classic rangie. My brother will agree that this is the toughest bumper you can mount. Completely boxed metal all around, beyond solid. SG cant compare to the build quality against RoverTym. Awsome bumpers.

Thanks Jeff!
I meant I was not really concerned about the price Ego! If I would not have said that some bars available might not be mentioned!(:
Does anyone have the TJM or ARB?

i got a TJM and haven't had a problem with it.
i like it over the ARB. haven't had the rotating problem (knock on wood) that the ARBs have seen. i was going to sell it and buy a RTE Slim-line, but for the wheeling i do, the TJM offers better brush protection than the Slim-line and i personally don't like the looks of the RTE standard bumper. also the TJM holds the hella 4000's well.
Now if i were a rock crawler or wheeled in fairly open spaces, i'd have a RTE w/o question.
just my opinion...

Danno, why not ask John if he could make you a slim line bumper with the standard brush bar on it? That way you would get what you want.

CK, what do you have planned for the rear of your DSII?
By Seann on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 - 04:38 pm: Edit |
I got the ARB on my Disco, IT SUCKS! Dont want to be completely negative, but I want a bar that works. My bar rotated upward into my disco (installed correctly) and did more damage to my disco that it did to the bar. Working on plans for my own bumper. Rear bumper idea is working, and everyone seems to like the look how functional it is. Who knows.

I have an ARB.. besides the attack angle, I have no problems.. yet.. Mine is mounted correctly, but so far no problems.. not enough stress put on it yet, i guess..

painted.
didn't really *need* a new bumper. using $$ to get other things, lockers, gears, axles, CV driveshaft, etc...

Greg, I am not sure what I want for the rear?
I am awaiting Rover Tym rear! Maybe TJM.

Hey Adam,
I mounted mine correctly too, here's a little test for your bumper:
Find a 220lbs rover owner to jump up and down on it...I'll volunteer, and see what happens...I found that mine is moving because of the mount holes in the frame mounts. Believe me, I've done everything but weld it to the frame, which I'm not going to do, to keep it from moving. Let me know what happens...

Does anyone here HAVE a Zbar?
I'm looking at it, but know nothing other than what RN says..they told me it was better than an ARB...anyone know?

Alot of people say the x9 winch is better built than the Warn/Ramsey

CK, check out my gallery. I've got a rear bumper coming out soon w/ mini sliders for the rear quarters. E-mail me off-list w/ any questions.
