Today was a foggy day and acutally used the rear fog lights. However, noticed they went off a few minutes after I turned them on. Got home and checked the fuse, but it's not blown. Even the switch indicator doesn't work. Does anybody know what went wrong? Did both bulbs go out?
Thanks and Cheers Brian

Did you turn off the headlights?
They only work with the headlights on. I wished they worked with the city-lights on, but... oh well...

The headlights were on, high beam was off.

Okay, then, something's amiss (well, not in the Lucas world, but anyway......)
Might be a bulb, or it could be a fuse, or a ground... Check your bulbs and fuses first.
From there, it slips downhill....

Leslie,
Gonna have to wait for daylight to check. As for
the fuse, I know that is OK. As for the bulbs, can't see them both going out at the same time. Guess I'm another victim of Lucas. My last resort is to get to the dealer before the warranty runs out.
Thanks for the help,
Cheers Brian

One bulb out can cause whole systems to go goofy... welcome to Lucas...
Check 'all' fuses, quite often the fuse that you think should cover it may, but another fuse may be associated.
I've got a hunch that a ground may be loose, but check bulbs/fuses first.

Is the electrical system really that "goofy"?!? What was Lucas thinking!!! I'll check all the fuses but if it's the ground where and how would I check that?

Use a multimeter:
Lights + foglights on. Bulbs out. Multimeter or circuit tester to check if you have + and - where the bulb's supposed to receive its current. If you have elec-trickity here, it's the bulbs. If not, find if it's the + or - missing. Then you're into the X-files search...
