Does anyone have a HAM? I saw some info on this site about ham radios in some discussion!

I'm a HAM, but have yet to go mobile in the Disco. There are some good pictures in the NEWS section of Frank Rafka's rig, where he has done a skookum job of putting in an Icom up near the forward sunroof controls. If I do eventually go mobile I think I will follow his example. Easy to read the display in that spot and not in the way of anything.

I have a Kenwood TM-G707A mounted under the drivers seat. The head unit is stuck to the overhead console above the rear-view mirror. I added a remote speaker which is attached to the drivers side overhead grab handle. The setup works very well but I'm considering selling the unit to buy another HT.

I have an HT, and prefer to use it over CB, but CB tends to be a much cheaper and more convenient means of comm for most drivers.
