I want to tell everyone about my horrible experience today when I was changing my transfer case oil. I had to struggle to get off the drain plug and after I drained the fluid I screwed it back on and tightened the drain plug too much and stripped the threads and it is stuck, it just spins in place. So off the Disco went on a flatbed to the dealer. I just wanted to share this experience because I was following the directions on the link through Disco Web on the 60,000 mile service and it did not mention that since it is an aluminum T-case you only need to slightly tighten it.

I would of just drilled it out to the next size up and re-tapped it for a standard NPT plug and moved on.
I'm sure the dealer will replace the whole TC for 3000K!
