hey guys -

i have a non-winch arb roo bar that i want to weld on a reciever 'hitch'? so i could use a quick release/portable winch should i choose to do so.

thanks in advance and sorry i don't know the proper word for it!

Post results if you do that. I have been thinking along the same lines. Want to mount it higher than normal though. I think the best way might be to cut through the bumper and weld the receiver to the frame to get the extra strength.

Go into any hitch shop or browse JC whitney. Shouldnt be hard to find..

They sell an "extention" on ebay for $25 might buy that, slice up the back part banana peel style for a mounting plate and weld it on. Also steel places will often have stock that will work. Also I saw this bolt on deal at walmart I thought I could use inverted if I found a flat spot to bolt it to. You could probably do the same or simlar by welding on a rear one chopped off a disco or RR.

Northern Tool and Equip sells them as does my local 4X4 shop for fabricating bumpers. Should be able to find pretty easily. It's called a receiver, by the way.
