I've read the archives and narrowed the search to the RTE and Mantec sliders. Question is, which is heaviest and is that a real factor? I've seen the RTE units up close and they are damn heavy and could lower the ride height of my rig (ARB, roof rack, etc.) more than I want.

thanks

Yes Ho , a thing that is overlooked by most. That is really the only area that you can bolt on some serious anti tipping help...

80 ea lbs crated....60 lb ea on the truck..just weighed a set...equates to lowering the car at 4 corners 1/8"...I always believed also its the place to add the weight.

The RTE springs are designed to provide the stated lift even after being loaded down with sliders and bull bars and roof racks, right?

I know that when John slapped his sliders onto my truck my already sagging springs sagged more then 1/8 of an inch.. More like 1/4 an inch.. Nothing his 2inch HD springs aren't going to cure. I will say that the lower weight has made the truck handle a little better.. Or then again maybe that is due to the low rider effect that I have going on at the moment...

John - Couldn't agree more on the sliders being a great place to add the weight. 60 lbs each is pretty light, all things considered.
