Any of you guys use Rovertym's Sway Bars's Quick Disconnects? They are $95 for the set... worth the money?

Right now I have the stock suspension, but I will eventually go with OME HD setup. I would be nice to be able to keep the sway bars for around town use to help with the cornering.

However, looking at the pictures of these things, it appears that they are held in place by a thin piece of metal and I was wondering how sturdy they are.

Go to a tractor supply store and get the hitch pins and roll your own. SHouldnt be more then about 20 bucks for the whole deal..

Basically mine look like the ones on D-90.com but instead you get a thicker hitch pin and bored out holes to use thicker cotter pins.

Off the sheft parts you could DIY.

Wasn't talking about yours... That refers to the home grown jobbies or my experience when I was removing the bolts to take mine off. The damn bushings always either were stuck in or fell out.

EVERYONE -- I haven't used or even seen the RT disconnects. I am sure they perform just as good as all the other RT stuff, of which I am a big fan.

Sorry for bringing on a potential misconception.

Those homegrown jobbies are pretty much identical to the Adeofab ones.

In fact probably a little stronger as the homegrown ones have a lip where the others have a cotter pin.

the biggest difference to me is worrying about the bushings. mine always were stuck in and I had to pry them out for fear of leaving them on the trail or they would fall out and roll away from me. annoying.

as far as strength is concerned I have 25k clocked on mine and they are the same as the day I bought them.

how do the homegrown ones work up front on the right side? it is pretty tight up there even for the little aedofab ones.

i have seen the homegrown variety on Ali's truck and they did seem to do the job fine. just the old thing, you could buy a potato, or you can grow your own. growing your own is obviously cheaper, just takes time and effort instead.
