Yesterday (Saturday) I attended a memorial to a Friend and former coworker Susan Blair who I worked with for several years who died September 11, 2001.
I have never felt so much emotion and shared so much with so many. It was a standing room only at the church in Attleboro, Ma. So much sadness in one place, even the Pastor lost it at one point.
To have met Susan was to know her. There did something good for everyone she met, we were all her friends.
Two of the family members who spoke lost their own children before they were three years old, one to accident, a second to cancer.
The service was a mixture of personal recollections, patriotism, giving of the Stars and Stripes. Mass State Troopers helped greatly including one which the most wonderful voice who sung several hyms including the Battle hymn of the Republic.
She leaves her mother, her sister, her fiancee, countless family members and so many friends.
And she left us all better for her presence and did so in just thirty five years.
