Try -
http://www.autoemf.com.au/obdii.htm
and
http://www.obdii.com/obdii.html
These are the most comprehensive ones I have found so far. I have ask at the dealer, but no dice on getting a copy of the codes from Land Rover. Being new to the OBDII diagnostics myself, I have found that the general codes (as listed in the links above) are very helpful....good luck

I'm totally illiterate on the subject, but can you please inform if OBDII is suitable for series II discos?
Thanks

OBDII diagnostics are a standard in automobiles built during and/or after 1996. So though I do not know first hand, I believe the Disco II does have OBDII..

I have a 96 Disco that just had it's Service Engine light go on at 52k. Having called the dealer to find they want $150 to run tests, then reading my manual to find it's standard to happen at this time. I've purchased my own OBD2 scanner.
My question is simple, WHERE DO I FIND THE SCAN PLUG in the Disco?
Sincerely,
Jim

52k miles - that's an emissions system service, as I remember.

at 52k you HAVE to go to the dealer. no way around it. ...and the whole service shouldn't even cost $150.

there's a little tan box w/a LR sticker on it, about the size of a pack of smokes. it's located behind the passenger side kick panel. peel the sticker back and put a long/narrow paper clip through the hole to reset the light. this is for the O2 sensor service reminder. no harm, just a way for the dealers to screw you for $$$. it will come on every 52k miles.
