Installed OME HD springs, shocks and steering dampener this weekend. Some minor PIA items, but overall, not too bad. The ride is awesome, but on my way to work this morning, it seems that the steering wheel points about 15 degrees to the left. No pulling, but rather annoying.

How do I adjust?

TIA

P.S. A Dremel is a man's best friend!

Loosen the tie rod clamps on each end of your "drag link" ...this is the rod that connects the steering box to the RF wheel. Once loose, A large monkey wrench on that rod will twist it in either direction...staigtening the steering wheel.

2 potential problems:

The clamps may loosen, BUT, rod ends may seem frozen in there...LR never used ainti-sieze in there! Go to some garage and have them torch the rod ends just hot enough to rotate.

It will be a trial and error thing to get the wheel staight...you'll see.

1) Engage parking brakes on level ground. 2) Chock the rear wheels and raise both front tires. 3) Loosen tie rod ends and turn tie rods. Turn rods till steering wheel is centered. Need a partner to check that. 4) Get some line to tie around all four wheels. Make sure all four wheels are straight and centered. The line(rope) will help. I used a 550 cord parachute (white) rope. 5) Keep on turning the rods, steering wheel and making sure front tires are straight. Once your steering wheel and front tires centered. Secure tie rod ends ,remove line, and test drive. Caution: Don't drive your Disco if its not safe. Goodluck. If your in San Diego, i would be happy to assist you.

Thanks for the directions, but Peter, now I won't know when I'm running on empty! Butch, I'm not in San Diego, but thanks for the offer.
