Is it possible to move my CD changer from under the passenger's seat to under the driver's seat (99 D1)? Are there factory connections that exist under the driver's seat? CD changers are about convenience but crawling under the seat at 80 mph isn't. Also, I've read all of the postings concerning replacement speakers but have found no definite answers on replacement (upgrade) sizes or exact matches. Thanks in advance! ^V^GOAT

Simple. Don't change while going down the road.... it's dangerous to do, even if it was moved to under your seat. IMHO, YMMV.....

I replaced almost all of my speakers. The subs in the back are just 6.5 inche speakers. I went w/ a two way speaker from Fosgate connected to an amp to serve as the sub. A good one way speaker connected to an amp would be the best though. I then run all my other speakers off the deck (I installed an aftermarket deck). I replaced the two rear speakers (even though they were fine, the stereo guy didn't figure that out until after I bought new speakers... pretty impressive). The little speakers are just regular 4 inch speakers, nothing unusual. I really like my system now.

Sounds good! Any other recommendations? Any thoughts on moving the changer?

on my '94 DS1, the changer hook ups are under the seat, but the changer is WAY overpriced....rediculous.

My biggest concern is following some of the LR guys I know. They've been demonstrating a penchant to ford deep water and getting stuck halfway, flooding the lower compartments of their Discos.

That would certainly destroy any CD Changer mounted under the seat -wouldn't it? I'm not keen on that!

Lynden- What model speakers did you use as replacements?

I have a 94 for the water! The 99 is for highway adventures!

I couldn't tell you what speakers I put in. The stuff's at the house, if you want me to check it out I could even get the part #. I got them at best buy though. When they were installing my stereo I had them run the amp to the stock speakers in back. After looking at them I decided to get new speakers for back there. I just walked into best buy and bought some 6 inch speakers and they threw them in. I can look though tonight if you want me to.

Thanks for the postings but...can the changer be moved under the driver's seat? Most of my friends are Disco-ignorant and have trouble following my directions when it comes to changing cartridges.
