My check engine light has come on and I was wanting to look at the readout under the passenger seat, before I took it to the dealer. Well I can't find the damn thing, is it possible that it could have been taken out or relocated?? Exactly what does it look like. I know that it is about 1x2.5x3.
Thanks

It's black-ish in color, and it sits straight up under the middle of the passenger seat. Mine has "TRW diagnostic unit" written on it, and the TRW logo printed on the side. It is, like you said, about 3-inches square. Hope that helps

My '97 Disco does not seem to have one either... where else should I look?

'97 and maybe a year earlier do not have them - they went to the OBDII system

96's and later don't have these displays. You'll have to get an OBD II cable and software.

sometimes the dealers rip the fuses out of them out so customers will stop getting annoying check engine lights
