I've been driving my mechanic's 93 LWB around for the last couple of days and really like his seats. I have an 97 LSE. The main thing I like is the arm rest. I'd love to have that, it makes a huge difference for my comfort. Anyone heard of it or done the mod?

On a side note, I love the inside of the LWB Rangie there is soooo much room and it is wayyyy quieter than any of our Disco's. I just don't like how they look on the outside though.

thanks
Ross

I think the RR seats are quite a bit wider than Disco seats. Especially with the arm rests. However, I have seen armrests for Discos in the UK Land Rover magazines.

You are sitting in RR Classic seats in you 97 LSE perhaps they changed the spring rates or padding

Ross-
they will fit, if you don't mind 86ing the center console( or possibly modifying it). I imagine you have not priced one yet though. The price is definetely going to change your mind. Find yourself some nice Recaro's or similar aftermarket brand.

Thanks guys,

I've got access through a friend who happens to own a repair shop. He rebuilds several Range Rovers a year. He has several seats for me to choose from for a direct swap for my Disco seats. The only thing I want is the arm rest. I'm suffering with a bulging disc in my neck and believe it or not that rest makes a huge difference. I'm seriously considering buying a LWB Rangie now for a daily driver and using the Disco for fun. After driving a LWB for a couple of weeks and then getting back in my 97 Disco LSE I really notice how much quieter/more comfortable the Rangie is. Plus, I can buy an 95 LWB Rangie for around $10K and still have room to play. I just don't like how they look on the outside but I'm learning to deal with it.

As long as your driving the vehicle.. you don't have to look at the outside!
