Who's running these? How do they compare to the old design in the woods/dirt/rocks? Ideally, I'd like to hear from someone that just switched from MT to MTkm.
Thanks
Brian

Well, the kms have more chunky side treads, and I was actually turning the steering wheels side to side at the end of that video when it finally pulled out. Ps I think they are not making the non-kms any more.

Well,
I found the size I wanted and did some price matching (taking advantage of great customer service) between Costco and Sears.
Turns out Sears has the km and original, but matched prices for me. I'm looking at $146/tire...from Sears! To top it off, the entire automotive andhardware dept at my store are 10% off so I essentially got a $190 tire for $130.
Very Pleased to say the least :-)
Brian
ps glad to see you're using tht DII the right way!

I have the KM's in the 235/85. So far they have been awsome except for the fact thatI have lost large portions of he outer lugs on the tread when on rocks. I called BFG and I'm gonna have them looked at to see if it is manufacture screw up. They shouldn't just chew up like they did. It's on all the tires too.

Costco had them for $146 so I went to Sears who matched me and had an extra 10% off until Saturday...hehe
I ended up paying $131.40/tire for 35/12.50/15 M/T km
Brian
ps thanks for the input!

By Bluegill (Bluegill) on Friday, November 02, 2001 - 07:32 pm: Edit |
I was wondering about that since that huge 35 doesn't look all that uncomfortable in there...
damn, those are some big tires you're shootin for
By John on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 09:55 am: Edit |
Blue, running down the street aint hard with 35's, its the flexing where you need to search and scrape for clearances. But doable.
By Bluegill (Bluegill) on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 11:47 am: Edit |
yeah, as long as there's no speed bumps LOL
By John on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 12:17 pm: Edit |
Lol, and you are correct as usual...
By Brian Jackson (Nerover) on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 03:46 pm: Edit |
Yeah it really isn't feasable. It's a Jeep thing...I just wouldn't understand! John, though...well that man can weld and design like no other! He might have a tube framed, Dana 60 wearing rock buggy under that plush Disco body for all we know!
hehe
Brian
fuck the tires, I stick with the 255's
By John on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 03:53 pm: Edit |
Damn, no tires huh...my customer will be dissapointed, they are much higher here in Richmond for some reason.
By Brian Jackson (Nerover) on Saturday, November 03, 2001 - 03:59 pm: Edit |
Well,
I'll keep my eyes open for more deals like this one, but today was it for the tires on this special. :-P
