On my '00 Disco, the Fuel gauge reading is intermitant. After completley topping off the fuel tank, the gauge will still read at only 3/4 level. Each time I start the vehicle, the gauge is reading at either a higher or lower level. Is there any troubleshooting techniques that I can perform to eliminate this problem?

I have recently experienced similar problems on my 2000. I know I am filling the tank to the max, based on the pump reading. When you start the truck after fueling, the gauge only comes up to about 7/8 to 13-16 full. The gauge seems to go down in a normal fashion with continued driving. Any ideas, that I can discuss with my local ripofff artist of a dealer? Thanks.

I was just looking back through receipts from when my '95 was under warranty. I had the same problem, and 'lo and behold, the dealer replaced the fuel pump (remember-parts replacement specialists). I'd expect that would be warranty on a 2000.
