I am sure many out there have done this repair, what should I expect to pay.Dealer says they rarely see this and then they tried to sell me a bridge.(what a bunch of liars);anyway thanks in advance.

Nick,
If they are not too badly cracked, you can use black silicone to repair them. It's not too bad. Be careful with your paint. If they are really bad, leak, and need replacing, I can't help you.

Happens to every D1 from what I have heard. certainly has happened on my 95. I have also seen it on a lot of Discos around town. Something about the rubber being bad quality.

Stephen (netroverparts@aol.com) can get you the best price I have seen for the gaskets. I think the best thing to do is order them and either DIY or hire a autoglass guy to put them in. Not sure about NY, but I have been told $50 per window in my are for installation.

And your dealer is lying to you, I guarantee they see it all the time, but you already knew that.

Tate's right - you're much better off to fill in those cracks with black silicon - save the money and the hassle. A lifetime supply of this stuff costs about $1.59
