Happy halloween, folks!

I just got my RTE 2" springs this afternoon. I got the 2" to avoid the nasty driveline issues that can be a problem with the 3".

Will these 2" RTE springs give me more lift than I already have with my OME 751 fronts and OME 763 rears? I get about 19.5" to 20" from the center of the hub to the fender now. If I will be shorter with the new spring set, I need to call John and see what my options are...

Thanks

Red

That's what I hear... Anyone with RTE 2" have a measurement from the center of the hub to their fender?

Red,

you are likely to gain about 1/4" in front, and maybe lose about that in the rear. Don't remember John's springs' rates, tho.

Yeah, that chart shows RTE 3" measurements so would RTE 2" be minus 1"?

i dunno, i assumed RTE 2" springs being 2" over stock, under load. But using quoted lengths/lifts for 3", and minus 1", gets it within +-0.25".

guess a tankful of gas changes these lift figures :)

Did you get John's HD or reg. springs? That would also make a difference. My understanding is that his springs are meant to be two inches lift loaded up with extra weight like bumpers, winch, sliders and such. I could be wrong but, I think that is how it works. So you may end up a little higher then 2 inches. I'm getting the HD from him on Sunday so I guess that we will see.. I should see a big difference since my springs are already sagging.

Eric,

I ordered the RTE 2" HD and they measure 16 5/16" (RR1 rear) and 15 7/8" (RR4 front). That's almost exactly the same as the OME setup I have, according to the "suspension" page in the tech section here.

The RTE spring rates are 5 lbs lower in front than the OME 751 HD fronts and 20 lbs lower than the OME 763 Very HD rears that I have on board today.

I'm going to give them a shot since most of the material I have seen and some personal testimonials say the RTE 2" gives better ride and increased height over OME HD's. But I'm confused how these new rates and lengths will add anything above what I already have.

I just installed 2" RTE, heavy in rear, reg for front. 20 3/4 in front from hub-center to fender, 21 in back. I have RTE Sliders, stock bumpers.
These have been on the truck for only 2 weeks so I may expereince a little more settle.
Hope this helps.

left rear 20.75 right rear 19.75 :( I have minimal equipment in back. Kinda bummed with my ass saggin, thinking about spacers? I also have low speed vibes between 15-40 mph. I also have RTE castor correct radius arms.
