Ok,

As promised:

Here are the lengths of the Dan Bars I have:

Drag link: 28 1/4"
Track rod: 44 3/4"

NOW WITH THE TRACK ROD THAT LONG YOU LOSE ADJUSTABILITY FOR ALLIGNMENT AND LOSE TWO CLAMPS WHICH IS BAD.

So you want a Track Rod sleeve that is ~39" instead.

The drag link length will allow a clamp on style damper relocation kit to fit or will allow a pipe wrench to fit to adjust it.

If you decide on full length sleeves you will have to remove the a ball joint from one of the arms to adjust for allignment and you should weld/epoxy the adjuster piece so it does not spin when you remove the clamps on the Track Rod. It is your decision as to what is better for you.

Get under your truck with a tape measurer and stare at it for 5-10minutes and it will all become clear. Print this out and you will get the jist.

You can order the pieces cut to length from:

http://www.spidertrax.com/hardware_tbd.htm

Cost will be $30-40 depending on lengths chosen for the 1/4 1026 DOM material cut to length.

To fit a grease fitting you will need to drill and tap and then screw on in. An appropriate tap should be <$5 and the thread will depend on what fitting you buy. Keep them greased to prevent rust and rattles and to help them spin. I feel simply packing with wheel bearing grease should be sufficient though.

Ron

PS you could also buy a sleeve and carry it in the truck so when you taco it you can repair it (this is what I did with the Dan Bar at MAR)
