Has anyone ever tried to upgrade there early disco headlamps to the larger later style lamps. Looks like all I need are two lamps and a grill but any advice would help before I ´´splash the cash´´.

Mine is a '94 V8 and the R reflector is slightly rusted. I've considered the 'upgrade' but I think you also have to replace the indicators..

I can get the R headlight replaced for R600 ($70) so maybe I'll just do that and save a few bucks.

jo

there was an article in an older LRO magazine on extacly how to do that - i assume you have a 200 series and want to make it look like the 300?

from a cost perspective - just get yourself the IPF crystal cut replacement lamps as they are better than stock

but if cost is no objective - then get the larger lamps. you will need (from what i remember)
1: front side markers 300 series
2: front head lamps (go disco II on these they look cooler)
3: the trim that goes under the lamp assy (300 series)
4: new front grill (go with the saudi grill - again cooler - literally!)
5: and you will have to trim the front cross member alot - not for the faint of heat. over trim and you will have ruined the cross member.

best of luck
steve
