They're generally not available on this side of the pond... you usually have to order them from overseas....

Good luck,

Thats what i have seen......thats alittle too much trouble and $! Ill just stick with super swampers!!!!! What about courser traction lt's......Im just looking for something aggressive that dont wear as quick as conventional aggressive tires....I doubt I find a tire that fits that description!

Don't know about the Coursers....

David did have 2 sets of the Michelins in, and the first set sold instantly... I don't remember the price, tho... did you email him? Or has he sold them yet?

SSRs supposed last pretty long.

BFG MTs as well.

XZLs apparantly last indefinatly and then can be recut to get more tread. I think TRG price is pretty fair considering you get wheels too. In the long run they are apparently worth it. Then again it is more than swampers and other steelies and you may not want that tall and narrow.

I think he said 1250 for 5 new wheels and new tires.

JCC,

XZL's are really cool tires, but they're really expensive. I think the BFG MT-KM is a better choice. It performs just as well and is readily available in the USA for a reasonable price.

The only advantage of the XZL over the MT-KM is that the XZL is a stronger tire.

Where are the tires on David's site? I couldn't find them anywhere. Just want to take a look at the tread.

Yep....

But, email David or call him, and he'll grap a digital camera and snap pics of anything that you need to see....

Shoot, if need be, I'll sneak a digital camera home from work and snap pics and email them if I have ta, but I think David's got his camera back now...

He's a friendly guy, just call and ask!

PS: Note....

You won't find 'em on the US site, gotta go to the UK site...

Try: http://www.michelin.co.uk/uk/eng/local/pl/p464b.htm

That is NOT them.

Weird . . .

The center block is one piece on them.

Check the industrial truck section of the US site.

Ha!

Go to the UK site, and look under "car", then under "4x4"... at that point, look at the Michelin 4x4 O/R... There are pics of 2 different tires there, look at the one on the left...

Oh, shoot...

Here:
Look at the one on the left-side

When you click on the sizes available, then you'll see that it's called the 4x4 O/R XZL ....

Hope that clears it up a bit...

How about the Michelin NZG?
This intro clip looks like the Concorde is going to land at Moab International Airport!

Craig,
How much $$$?

Doesn't Safari Gard carry them too?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Craig on Wednesday, November 07, 2001 - 10:54 pm: Edit

Ryan- It's been about a year, I'm not sure how much we paid. $G does carry them, but I would not give them the pleasure.
