i have noticed that my rover squats down a bit in the back passenger side, tire pressure is all even, and it measures a good 1.5 inches from fender to ground on my shop floor. I moved it around, drove it around and it still sits low. Is this a normal problem, or do i just order the 3" springs sooner

OK. I am fairly new to this board. However, I find all of the problems I have been having with my 97 Disco seem to appear regularly on this board. Quality Control issues and not design flaws? Yea, right. However, the problem you mention (according to the dealer) is a bad spring in the rear. Mine still does the same thing. It actually sags about 3/4" right now. It is amazing how obvious such a small amount looks to the naked eye.

yep. very common issue. my '96 has the same issue. have heard two sides of it: one is that it was a flaw with the springs and some people had them replaced by the dealer under warranty.......the other is that the driver side spring is longer and it is suppose to compensate for the added weight, so when the driver is out of the truck it leans to the right. i side with my first statement. don't seem many other trucks with that obvious of a lean, so why should my truck be any different.
i realize most cars/trucks have the passenger side springs cut shorter, but these were cut a little too short or the spring rate is off. whatever. :)

the actual measurement is 31 inches from door seam to floor on the pass rear side, and 32 inches on the drive rear.
I dont think i'll bother with warrenty, its a good excuse to get lift springs

Garrett-

If your information is correct then that explains the height difference in my stock LR Springs. One front spring is about one inch higher than the other.

If you'd like to see a pic of them, look under 1995 Disco Bumper and Springs in the Classifieds section.
