Wish they had one here in N.VA.... I'd use it for my wedding instead of the stretch BMW X5 that I have reserved now.

that could serve as a great school bus for a nice prep school.

Here in the Kansas City area, there is a limousine service with a stretched Hummer with about as many windows as the Discovery shown above. Obviously not for off-road use, it does get a lot of use during prom season.

how long must that driveshaft be???
By Ron on Tuesday, November 06, 2001 - 02:45 pm: Edit |
driveshafts. Actually I would just lock it and drive FWD. Some early series conversions did this.

Wonder if they still have the 180 bhp 4.0 in that? Talk about a snail - lol
By Craig on Tuesday, November 06, 2001 - 08:54 pm: Edit |
The 4.0 gave up about a week after the stretch was done. She sat here for about a month while the owner was trying to go after the limo company. We quoted the guy a blown 4.6L, but I think he sold it less an engine.

Don't know if it's the same one, (sure looks like it - for the love of god, how many can there be?!) but I saw it a couple of weeks ago at LR Newport Beach. it's gone now. Our friend alerted us to it. I'll let him pontificate about it more, if he catches this thread. Funny as hell! lol

Yo, G where did you find that puppy?
you know, I was thinking hummer for the wedding, but now I might change my mind. ( wife suggested hummer, not me!)

i got that pick off marty's website. www.travelswithrover.com i met them at roverfest. if you check the site i am sure it will say where that stretch is. their last update was in colorado or somewhere out west. the 110 in the pic was originally a D90. (that is marty's truck) they did the conversion at Rovers North a month or so ago.
there is no way that thing could make it around the streets of my town. would be fun though. taking a limo from burlington, vt to montreal next month for a hockey game. now that would be styling across the border for sure.
