I already have red polys on my dampers, and are now up to change chassis bushes. Having a second thought, I decide upon blue comfort line.
Just to check: the chassis and damper are in no way dependant upon each other physically, so should not do any harm. But will the different way of damping do any harm?

well, there should be no effect between shock bushes and chassis bushes...
i have the blues (polys, not the feeling), and they have transformed my disco!....you have no idea!....wheel travel actually increased, and there were many sounds before that just vanished!

How difficult was the bushing changeover job? Were you able to install all bushings in kit yourself? I currently don't have torque wrenches, but this may be the perfecte excuse to augment my tool box. I'm looking at a poly bushing set - will probably go with softer set (blues, as opposed to reds, right?).

Bushings are a PITA, getting the old ones out is the trick. There are some bad ways to get them out (torch) that work. There are some good ways that might work (saw). and there are some good ways that work (giant press, Bushwacker). Installing polys is not too bad, especially if they are two piece it is just getting the old regulars out that is the trick. I have reds in the 110 (came installed with the axles). I will probably get ironmans next time.

Nadim,
How's the on-road ride with the blues? Since they're soft, do you notice any more sway or lean around corners? What about steering firmness and tracking? I was going to go with reds but if the blues are no softer than the stock rubber, then I'd prefer the blues.

Well, I took my disco to a garage that had a 15 ton press that could press out the old bushes...they charged me a little over 3 $ per bushing...hehehe...cheap labor in Lebanon!

After that, it was really easy...I grinded the bushing housings with a very soft wire brush, put a lot of lubricant, and the 2 piece design of the blue polys was great....it took less than 2 hours for the whole set, including the rear A arm

on road, well, it is much firmer...not to the point of being uncomfortable, but firm....you know that nothing is moving around when it is not supposed to....offroad, well, my front dropped more, and articulation was way smoother...

i have compared my "blued" disco to a "reded" D90, well, the reds are stiff like hell...but then again, it depends what you want the disco for...

I will take my Discos "arms & legs" to a workshop to have the bushings pressed out as Nadim did.

They probably charge us more than Nadim, but the job is as Ron says: PITA.

If fitting polybushes, they can be removed by ordinary tools next time, so thats an important argument AGAINST the OE rubber ones. What you pay for the press-job is the last pressing you'll ever have to pay for. That will take the pain off the back of your head, so you'll do the job when you SHOULD do the job. Due to the pain involved changing those bushes, I've postponed far too long. So now I need welding on lower shock-bracket as well.

Thanks Nadim,
That's essentially what I wanted to hear. I have red bushings on my Ford Bronco's radius arms and they are great. However, on the Rover I just want something stiffer than the rubber on-road and something that will last. If the blues will do that in addition to being better off-road, then that's what I'll get.

I will try to drill mine out. I don't like burning them as they burn forever and I'm not sure if the heat is good for the metal parts. I'll try to be careful with drilling.

Now, what's the best source for the blue bushes?
Keep in mind I'm in Western Canada.
