I just read the tech section on Joshua Weinstein installing the Warn 9500 winch into an airbag ARB bull bar. I guess he made some modifications to the bull bar by adding a plate above the crush cans to better accomadate the winch into the bumper. My question: Are there winches in the Warn family that will not fit into the bumper without modification? I am purchasing the same bumper and plan on putting in the 9000 warn into the bumper eventually. Thanks

I contacted WARN and they said that the Disco air bag compatible BullBar is designed with the Warn 9000 in mind. I asked about the 9000i and am waiting for a response.
Nathan Crabtree seems to have a great price.

The i is a Bad idea. The top of the winch would be really far down (the winch mounts upside down). Stick with the non-i winch, either M8000, xd9000 or I suppose maybe the HS9500. The real ticket is the M12000 on a non-airbag model, but that is just my opinion. Since you save a couple bucks on the non-airbag bar and you can get an M12000 for 850 delivered I don't see why you would not go that way.

Where can I get an M12000 for $850 delivered? That is the best price I have heard for a new M12000.

Tis true - I bought the M12K from Ron's source for $850.00 delivered and the transaction was all on the up-and-up. Since then I have bought a few other things from the same guy.
