I just bought a 99 Disco II and want to take of the running bords. LR Houston wants $300 to do it (are you kidding me?) I guess I will do it myself - it looks like there are a lot of mounting brackets etc. under there. Anyone have any suggestions on the quickest/easiest way?

Has anybody ever mouted these things on (aftermarket)? It might be easy if I had a diagram of somekind of where all the nuts and bolts are.

I would think you should just be able to unbolt them. The ones on my 95 D1, had frame and body attachment points, and I can't see the ones on a DII being much different. Just get under the truck and look at where everything is attached. Whatever you do, don't pay the dealer $300, that is INSANE!
