I just picked up a set of 4000s and a (used?) wiring harness. No instructions, of course, and nothing on Hella's website. Can anyone clue me in on the proper way to wire them up? Much appreciated!

Best thing to do is buy the wiring harness from Hella, it has everything you need to get them working. Also, a suggestion, wire them so they only light when your hi-beams are on, that way they go off when you dim your hi-beams for oncoming traffic.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. The wiring harness I have is from Hella, part #87199U. It's not clear to me what needs to route where, though. I'll check out the D-90 site, but welcome all further comments.

As Craig said, the part number forthe 4000 harness is 87202, I'm not that familiar with Hella's harness's to say if the one you have will do the job.

If you go to Hella's website, www.hellausa, click on the installation intructions for the Optilux 1100 lamps and this will show you the wiring arrangement you need to install.
