At the full extension of the OME shock, is it too much shorter than the HD OME springs? (a stupid questions?)

I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean that the spring is far from unseating with the shock at full extension? Or that you loose the amount of lift that the OME springs give you in drop?

Kyle,

What I mean is, at full extension of spring, its length is shorter or longer than the full extension of the shock? Thanks.

Ed,

Like Kyle, I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

If you're asking about absolute lengths, then that's easy to answer. A freestanding OME spring is shorter than a fully extended OME shock. For example, a 762 DS spring is 16.4" tall and a N44 rear shock is 23.0" long fully extended.

If you're asking about comparative lengths when both the springs and the shocks are mounted on the vehicle, then that's different. The OME springs and shocks are sized so that the springs will not unseat when the shock is fully extended. Thus, no retainers or cones are required with OME springs when OME shocks are used.

Some people experience very slight unseating of their front springs at full flex when using OME springs and shocks. I am not aware of anyone who has experienced rear unseating with OME springs and shocks.
