I have a 2 inch lift which will soon be 3 inches and I had to replace my front drive shaft. The new drive shaft rubs the front sway bar.. I have heard many people still have their sway bars on with this amount of lift and I'm trying to find out what you guys did to keep the drive shaft from rubbing the bar when the front axle is at full drop. I know Tom P. has big spacers but what have others done?

I think some sort of spacer/bracket type thing would be the best and easiest solution. The only other thing I can see doing would be to have some sort of custom bent sway-bar made, and that would be way more trouble than its worth.

I put about 1.25"spacer and no problems.

Any serious problems with just removing the sway bar? Would it be that bad on the road....really?

Eric,

This is what I did, http://www.aedofab.com. Don't dump the front or the rear sway bar if you like driving on the highway. Lots of people drop the rear and you don't need to. Mike Aedo also sells sway bar releases cheep. I got my rear sway bar releases from Rover Tym. John's are more heavy duty but I could not fit them up front.
