don't use a razor blade on defroster lines!!! spray a soap solution (like dishwashing soap and water) on the window then cover the window with seran wrap then use a heat gun or hairdryer on the window. the idea is to "sweat" the film off you will need a razor blade but this will make it easier.

Basically all you need to do is to use a razor to trim up a corner of the tint and then use your brute strength to pull the tint film off.

This is will leave adhesive residue. Wet remaining adhesive with water (or soapy water - like 25/75 baby shampoo/water) and use a razor blade to scrape away residue - it should come right off. For the windows with defrosters use steel wool (not SOS) instead of a razor.

oh i am sorry use the ammiona after the actual tint has been removed. you are going to leave a certain mount of "glue" on the window. ammiona softens the leftovers enuff that you can remove the slime. i agree dont use the razor on the rear window, but it should be fine for the rest of them.

3M, makes a great adhesive remover that works a bit better than ammonia. You can find it at most auto supply stores.

The 3M stuff is called Pre-Kleano and comes in one-gallon cans.

Tint installers use soapy water to position tint before setting, the Spray bottle is right on the money

Removal is reverse of installation....
