I have replaced the batteries in my keyless entry keybob and now it doesn't work. Is there a way to reprogram this? Does this happen whenever you replace the batteries? This is a single button keybob for a 94 Disco.
Thanks,
neil

yes, it's reprogrammable. I have the instructions from the dealer around here somewhere, I'll post it later this afternoon.

So we can reprogram these things ourselves and laugh at the dealer who wants to charge $80.00??!

This is for a Discovery with the one button remote

OK, here are the steps...

You ned two people, one in the car and one at the hood actuator (the pasenger side of the engine bay)

1. doors closed , ignition off, hood button pressed

2. steps 3-9 must be done in 8 seconds...

3.switch ignition on

4. switch ignition off

5. lock doors

6. unlock doors

7. release the hood button

8. turn ignition on

9. switch ignition off

If you've done it right, the dash LED will light and the horn will beep. For the next two minutes, you can program up to two handsets.

10. press and hold button on the handset until dash LED flashes.

11. same for the second.

DONE!
