Hey guys,
I have been getting quite a few requests for alarm info lately so I thought I would put some info up on the web. At the link below I have aftermarket alarm install info for a 1995 Disco and a 2001 Disco. Both are almost the same. By checking these you should be able to narrow down your search for the correct wire if you are taking on an alarm install yourself. I also have the details of the Land Rover single wire door lock system and how to wire into it. I would appreciate updated info for my records if anyone digs in and finds something else.

I like your alarm page just wondering why you need the diode. are you isolating the unlock wire from the cicuit or are you tring to isolate the cars unlock cicuit from the alarm. I hope that makes sense.

Ken,
It works without it but it's in there to prevent any possible high volt spikes from coming from the OEM door lock relays into the aftermarket alarm and damaging the output. Relay's cause a high volt spike off the coil when they shut off and incase the OEM relays aren't protected from this the diode will block it from entering the alarm circuit.
Basically, better safe than sorry.
