Kind of off topic, but I have a real problem with the NFL this year. There is no way, no way, that NFL refs are as bad as they are. I think they have an agenda: they want to keep the games as close as possible so that viewers don't turn off the tube and miss their precious commercial advertisements. It's a 6 billion dollar TV contract; I think they are trying to preserve it, and we, the NFL fan, pay the price by watching referres change outcomes of games. That sucks.
BTW, if I put on 265's, would I need 4.10s? Thanks.

Watch Ice Hockey!! You might need the 4.10s as you will loose power up hills and engine breaking down steep hills.. You would have to do it and see just how bad it is.

yeah matt, just put the tires on, then see for yourself if you need the gears or not.

I guess I'm just going to have to try it. I pull a boat around on the highway alot, so power loss is unacceptable. I want those tires though.
I'm not even a Titans or Ravens fan -- I'm a Saints fanatic. But both those teams from last night can make a strong argument for getting the proverbial shaft.
I've tried watching ice hockey, and it drives me nuts. I'm stuck with the NFL and its crooked agenda.

I don't think towing a boat would work to well.. You could always get some new rims (steel) and put the bigger tires on them... Then if you tow you still have the smaller ones to put on.. You can get rims for pretty cheap.

Eric-
What about with the gears, though? Would the 4.10s make towing easier once the 265s are on?

Should be about the same or a little better then stock.. Hope someone else chimes in though.. I'm just going with what I have heard from others as I'm looking at getting 235/85, 265/75, or 245/75 and don't want to re-gear till I get lockers and maybe then 33s. So I'm not 100% sure on that.

I have 265s without the gears. I don't see many problems with them and I have over 30k miles on them.
So, put them one, tow the boat and then make a decision.

My "aints" got shafted again last nite? Damn, I cant seem to get rid of this "aints" head bag again this year. I always felt they cant do anything but go up, but....damn.

HEY!!! Easy, John. You're messing with my squad. The Saints have been shafting themselves all year; can't blame it on the refs. They are not the "aints" anymore, though. No more bags. Just ask the rams.
By John on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 - 03:10 pm: Edit |
Well, when they can win a playoff game they wont be aints anymore..

John -
C'mon, cap. We beat the Rams in the first round of the playoffs last year.
Like I said, we are not the "aints" anymore.

Lol, our saints will come around then, its just a matter of time, dont know if I have that much time, but I will throw my bag away. They were so bad when starting off I knew they couldnt do anything but go up...lol
