How does everyone feel about Michelin 235/70-R16's vs. a less expensive tire. Dealer say's it's the only tire to use. Need 4 new ones but more than I want to spend. 96 disco 5spd.

This is going to sound completely obvious but I would check on the net. Last year I got 4 Mich. XTCs for my 4Runner for about $425. Its going to cost extra to have them mounted, but it was still better than the $750 discount tire wanted for the same tires and mounting.

I wish I could remember the name of the site I got them at. If it comes to me I will let you know.

I have the Yokohama Geolandar AT+ and am very happy with them. This is my second set. I also had a set on a Ford F-350.
