Any help would be appreciated my mechanic is stumped.
On 3 occasions I have experienced a loss of power. Basically the Disco would not respond when hitting the gas. It only happened for a few moments and then everything was back to normal. Mechanic has had it for 3 days and he is stumped. No service light ever came on and after hooking it up to the computer he got nothing. I would just ignore it but my wife and 2 kids drive the truck around the east coast and I would hate for them to get stuck somewhere.
Any ideas? I did upgrade the Spark wires not to long ago.

Could it be a stepper motor issue? Try a keyword search and see.

Stepper motor???? It only comes it to play at idle! It's non Brit name is IAC (idle air control valve).

Sounds like a TPS or MAF problem. No way of telling untill it fails or throws a code.
