I am thinking about upgrade my rear axles and install the Detroit locker. Is there any detail instructions on this site I can follow or it is too much for DIY job?

setting up the diff is a bit tricky the first time it seems (I am about to do mine in 2 weeks) and you want to pay someone to do it, but the rest of the job is cake. You'll need a few "special" tools to set up the diff if you choose to try it, and that www.d-90.com article tells you everything you'l need.

Is the install for ARB the same for Detroit? Looks like the upgrade of axles are pretty straigt forward, just pull it out and replace it.

I am here in San Francisco. I was brainwashed by you and decided to go with the Detroit and axles upgrade.

I just sent Ho a message about this...I was going through the same problem about a month ago and had a guy named JP at A1 Imports put in my Detroit, he is in Marin give him a call he was great and very reasonable. He mainly repairs BMW's but loves to work on Rovers. I believe his number is 415-256-1949.
Best of luck

Thanks Scott.
Kyle, There is a set of used heavry duty rear axles from a D-90 for sale. Will it work on a 96 Discovery? Also, is it a good idea to get a used one? Thanks
