I pulled the front ABS sensor to check it and clean it up. The anti lock light is on. How do you clear the light to get it off? Do you need a code to reset it? Does the workshop manual explain how?

I think I read something a while back about driving backwards for 20 yards to clear it up. Dont hold me to it.
I too need to check the sensor because i keep having the abs light turn on. Where exactly is the sensor? Do I have to take the wheel off?

If the sensor is good, just put it back in place - seat it fully down - then drive in reverse for about 40 ft so that the sensor self-gaps itself. Then off you go forward and in about 1/2 mile the light will go out. Again - this is assuming the sensor is good and only needed regapping.
You can do this with the wheel still on, but it is easier to get at with it off.

you can get at the front sensors without the tire off. it pops off easily. Now how do I really know the sensor is bad?

If the ABS light stays on, the sensor is bad or there is another fault in the system or at another wheel
