Can you fit a steering wheel from a Disco II into a Disco I?

I would like to change my steering wheel (D1) with one from a D2. I drove a D2 and I like the feel of that steering wheel.

Can you guys tell me if it is possible to do that? Has anyone done it?

The D2 steering wheel has the radio and cruise controls.
