Ok, so I got a code on my computer under the seat that said 17, throttle potentiometer. replaced it with a new one. $168.00. Great. Except the truck is still trying to stall out and cut off when I'm cruising or accelerating. I've cleaned the stepper motor and that helped I think, I went through ALL the electrical contacts and cleaned/greased them with dielectric. I'm at a loss as to why this keeps happening, and its not related to the charging system/battery as those were tested yesterday. I"m at a loss. Help. please. anyone. thoughts included the fuel pressure thing, missed timing, or the speed sensor (?), but all of those things seem like they would not be intermittant. And of course I can't get the thing to happen when I"m at the garage or the dealer. any ideas or experience with this?

This happened to me climbing the Sepulveda Pass on the 405 in LA.

The next day, I replaced the fuel filter & feul pump and all was well again. I think the filter being clogged caused the pump to fail, but that's just my opinion.

Good luck!

Fuel filter is not a bad job. That could be the sputtering. I changed mine but boy was that thing on tight. Took me 20 minutes to work it loose.
