Can you fit a DII steering wheel into a D1?

Has anybody done it?

Thank you
Herk

just out of curiousity here...but why do you want to do that? The only reason I could think of would be the stereo controls, but I doubt they would even mate up the D1 stereo. I could be way off though, maybe they do? or maybe thats not the reason at all?

Have you used a D2 steering wheel? Its one hell of a wheel. YOu hold it and its like "whoa! THats ONE HELL OF A WHELL!" I'd buy that truck ONLY for the wheel...its nice. I like it a lot, wish the d1 had it...maybe not enough to sell mine to get a d2, but it IS a nice wheel...

I agree with cartner. I drove a DII and the feel of the wheel is fantastic, very comfortable to the touch, plus it looks very nice to look at.

Maybe I am crazy, but it feels like I am holding the wheel of my Lexus.

I am not sure the radio controls are an issue with me if I would exchange the wheel. If I can make it work, then that's fine. The cruise control on the other hand should work.

Obviously, the other question will be the airbag. I am not even sure if the existing airbag from the D1 will work.
