Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a good deal on a rebuilt transmission for a 1995 Disco?

BUT it is a pain as they really don't sell direct to the US. How big a hurry you in? Call one of the places that brings series parts in from the UK and ask if they can pick one up when they are there.

Check out www.erikksonindustries.com. Not sure if the Rangey and Disco use the same tranny or not, but they list Range Rover on their site. Not sure of the price either, but they quoted me $2100 for a rebuilt tranny for my 92 Saab ($1500 less than the dealership).

Thanks for the info, I have found that most shops sell them for $2600.00. The dealer wants $2900.00 for a rebuilt auto tranny.

Thats miserable. Bill B got a low mileage one for 700 or so. Might want to go that route. If you are looking for an R380 there is one on ebay now.
