Just spoke with 21st Century Tires in FL. They handle Import/Export of tires, w/ Simex being one of the brands they represent. I asked about where I could get the Extreme Trekker 2 in the US. She informed me that they are not avail here since they're not DOT approved (which I knew, but was playing dumb). She followed her comment by saying "Yet". When pressed, she said that hopefully in 3-4 months the Jungle Trekker 2 will be avail in the US as DOT approved. She didn't have any pricing, though. Just thought you might want to know.

greg you got a number?

How about for "offroad use only"

Their number is 305-461-2034 or 800-516-tire. They won't bring them in under any circumstances until DOT approved. I tried the "Off Road Only" approach.

That sucks.

I might try calling and telling them I have an earth mover or something

I even tried my Uncle in the UK. He couldn't find a source for 'em. I can get them over here through a friend (one set, not a damn load-I know what you guys are thinking), but couldn't get any prices in the UK either.

I can get them through the UK but they are $$$$ even more so than reguolar tires which are $$$$ in the uk.

Bronco tires carries them in the UK.

In Au and NZ they are really cheap though so it seems odd.

Ron, thanks for the info. Does Bronco have a website? Also, what's the Craddock company that sells tires in the UK, and what's their site? Do they carry them?

I would not buy from Craddocks. Bad rep for service. But cheap price. Take your chances I guess. Not sure if they have them. They do have Micheline 7.50x16 XCLs for 82ukp

Bronco, I am not sure but they advertise in LRO etc. They way I would go about it is call someone who does containers and say I need these tires could you get me a set I am willing to spend up to XX for them and here is who sells them. They buy them and bring them back and basically skim a bit for shipping. Thats how stuff like that gets in and how I could do it.

In Australia we pick up the 35 inch extremes for about $450.00 AUD, which is about $225 US, they now have a set of 32 extremes which actually measure about the same as a 33 inch BFG and go great under my Disco. They aren't so big that they effect your gearing too badly and they fit under the guards really well as they are only 10.5 inches wide. The JT2's are about the $350.00 AUD price. They are easy to get over here, I can track down the email address if you guys are interested.

202UKP for 35x10.50 extreme trekkers

Someone in the UK got a set on special but they were still major UKP.

Even if you could get a deal they would be 300 a tire by the time you got them here. 35x10.50x16 SSRs are my dream tire.

Wayne, are those prices for a set or each? I ws persuing these tires because I had the impression that they were inexpensive, but I may be wrong.

Greg,
That is each, they aren't cheap over here, but they are cheaper than Swampers and about the same as Claws and the like. BFG's are cheaper but they don't compare to the performance of an agressive tire.

Geez! I guess I'll stick to a domestic tire. Oh well!

Yes but they are not as cool (nor probably as strong) as the simex.

Thanks for the help Wayne!
