I was wondering if anyone knew why my 96 disco steering wheel shakes at speeds around 60-70mph. The steering wheel shakes for about 5 seconds then goes away. The car is all stock and nothing has been modified...yet. And yes, the roads are been flat.

probably a tire/wheel out of balance... when you get up to speed it will "shimmy" and once you get thru that ( speed say 67-70) then 71 it's okay again.
