Has anybody on the board made their own Front Skid Plate for a Series 1? I am thinking of having a crack at one and thought I�d see if anyone had done it before and had made some drawings that I could maybe use for a starting point. Buying one from the states with the Canadian Pesos is very expensive by the time you add shipping, customs fees and Tax. Failing that, any advice is welcome. The archives have been a great resource and saved me a ton of money. Hope one day to get to the stage where I can give advice on this board.

I made mine out of 6mm aluminium plate.
Bolt it to the bottom edge of bullbar with some 6mm bolts, and using two u-bolts fix it the steering protection bar already under there.
Bend plate as required to make it fit.
Simple and cheap.

I got a price of $990 for a 8x4' sheet of 3/8" aluminum grade 6000. Fuck that!

Think beyond the square.
Get your aluminium, steel plate or whatever you can find from a scrap metal yard.
Mine cost $50 AUD to make. That $25 US.
